Masarrat Aalam Butt produced in Srinagar court

Srinagar, July 15, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the incarcerated Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt was produced in a court in Srinagar where the judge fixed July 23 as the next date for the hearing. Masarrat Aalam Butt is currently serving continued illegal detention under black law, Public Safety Act (PSA) in District Jail, Baramulla.

Meanwhile, a JKML spokesman in a statement condemned the detention of Masarrat Aalam Butt and other leaders including Meraj-ud-Din Nanda, Hakim Showkat, Moulvi Sajjad and Assadullah Parray. He urged world human rights bodies to take notice of gross human rights violations in the occupied territory.
