Media men not pay respect to Indian anthem at KU seminar

Srinagar, June 30, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir University authorities faced embarrassment as the media persons during a seminar didn’t stand when the Indian anthem was played. The university authorities had not allowed the students of the varsity to participate in the seminar fearing that they might disrespect the anthem.

Later, a top lady official of the university approached the journalists asking them why they didn’t stand when the anthem was played. The lady official did all her best to persuade the journalists there to stand but they didn’t pay any heed to her instructions.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier on various occasions the varsity authorities had to face humiliation after the students didn’t stand when the Indian anthem was played.
