Meeting between Foreign Minister and Mr. Guido Crosetto, Chairman of Italian Industries Association for Airspace, Defence, and Security and member of the Italian Parliament

Islamabad, October 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi received Mr. Guido Crosetto, Chairman of Italian Industries Association for Airspace, Defence, and Security and member of the Italian Parliament in Islamabad today.

Welcoming Mr. Crosetto to Pakistan the Foreign Minister noted that Pakistan’s cordial and cooperative relations with Italy have continued to grow and strengthen in the recent years. He said that both sides shared common views on a host of regional and global issues. The Foreign Minister underscored that Pakistan was committed to further expand and deepen its multifaceted cooperation with Italy in diverse areas including trade, investment, defence and people-to-people exchanges.

Foreign Minister Qureshi also appreciated Italy’s role in strengthening Pakistan’s overall engagement with the European Union. He expressed satisfaction that a vibrant Pakistani expat community in Italy was a source of strength for the bilateral relationship. In his remarks, Mr. Guido Crosetto stated that the two countries enjoy friendly relations and the two sides are on the right track to further augment bilateral ties for mutual benefit of Italy and Pakistan.
