Karachi, June 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Roit Hilal Committee, along with members of the Zonal Roit Hilal Committee, met Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori at the Governor House. In the meeting, the importance of the committee in sighting of the crescent moon, the need for consensus on the sighting of the moon in important months and other matters of mutual interest were discussed. Governor Sindh said that the presence of scholars of all schools of thought in the Rawit Hilal Committee makes it a credible forum. He further said that the events of May 9 were a deliberate conspiracy against the security of the country, and the scholars of all schools of thought strongly condemned them.
Scholars said that the Governor of Sindh’s public welfare initiatives are exemplary, the Governor of Sindh practically opened the Governor’s House for the public in Ramadan, the bell installed outside the Governor’s House by him is in the public’s presence. It is proving to be helpful. He said that 50,000 youth were given the latest IT courses Training is a very commendable initiative. Director General of Ministry of Religious Affairs Syed Mushahid Hussain Khalid, Chief Meteorologist Dr. Sarfaraz, representative of SPARCO Ghulam Murtaza, representative of Ministry of Science and Technology Zainul Abedin, Ministry of Religious Affairs Naseeruddin and Hafiz Abdul Quddus, Taib Sattar and Imran Gujjar were also present on this occasion. Ahmed, Haji Abdul Rahim, Qari Nazir Ahmed Naimi, Maulana Ashraf Ali, Pir Shahid Ali Jilani, Mufti Qari Mehrullah, Sahibzada Syed Habibullah Chishti, Hafiz Abdul Majeed, Mian Ajmal Abbasi were included.
