Karachi, MetaTech Trading Limited has announced that an Extraordinary General Meeting will be held in compliance with the order passed by the Honorable Lahore High Court. The meeting aims to seek approval for the proposed Scheme of Compromises, Arrangement, and Reconstruction for the amalgamation/merger of MetaTech Trading Limited with Big Bird Foods Limited.
The court order, bearing the Order/Case No. C.O No. 43907/2023 and dated June 26, 2023, directed MetaTech Trading Limited to conduct the Extraordinary General Meeting within the month of July/August 2023. The meeting will provide shareholders with an opportunity to review and sanction the proposed scheme, which outlines the terms and conditions for the amalgamation/merger.
The amalgamation/merger involves MetaTech Trading Limited acting as the transferor company, merging with and into Big Bird Foods Limited, the transferee company. This strategic move aims to combine the strengths, resources, and market positions of both entities to create a more robust and competitive organization.
