Minister Ahsan Iqbal Emphasizes Poverty Alleviation as Key to Achieving SDGs

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal today underscored the critical importance of poverty alleviation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, he advocated for unified efforts to address the challenges faced by the common man and emphasized the need for a focus on education to eradicate poverty.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Iqbal highlighted the government’s ongoing initiatives to tackle socio-economic challenges and improve the livelihoods of the less privileged sections of society. He also remarked on the recent successful hosting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting, noting that it had significantly enhanced the country’s international reputation.
