Minister for Energy Highlights Pakistan’s Vast Mineral Potential

Sydney: Minister for Energy Ali Pervaiz Malik has highlighted Pakistan’s vast mineral potential and its commitment to a low-carbon and resilient future. He was addressing the ‘International Mining and Resources Conference’ in Sydney, Australia, today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister stated that Pakistan contributed less than one percent to global emissions, yet faced some of the harshest climate challenges. Emphasizing that Pakistan’s energy transition is not a choice but a necessity, he informed the gathering about Pakistan’s renewable energy targets, investment incentives, and potential reserves of critical minerals.

In addition, Ali Pervaiz Malik met with the Director General-Minerals, Australia, who provided insights into the role of the mining sector in the Australian economy. The Minister extended an invitation to Australian companies to invest in Pakistan’s mining sector.
