Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Ports and Shipping call on Prime Minister Gilani

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that the government is pursuing a policy of reconciliation and taking all its coalition partners on board on all important national issues. He stressed upon the need to infuse good governance and further coordination within all the Ministries to accelerate the pace of development and progress in the country.

The Prime Minister was talking to a three member delegation of MQM led by Dr. Farooq Sattar, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis which also included Mr. Babar Khan Ghauri, Minister for Ports and Shipping and Mr. Nadeem Ahsan, Minister of State, who called on him at PM’s House here this afternoon. Administrative matters pertaining to their respective Ministries were discussed during the meeting.

Dr. Farooq Sattar congratulated the Prime Minister for presenting the national perspective during the meeting with US Secretary of State, Ms. Hilary Clinton, this morning. He also discussed the overall security situation prevailing in the country.

Law and order situation in Karachi also came under discussion during the meeting.
