Minister for Power directs for elevating Pakistan’s energy conservation ranking

Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has directed National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority to submit future strategies to elevate Pakistan’s energy conservation ranking in the world.

He gave the directives during a meeting with NEECA delegation led by its MD Sardar Mohazzam in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Managing Director NEECA highlighted the need of replacement of inefficient and conventional fans which consume too much electricity.

The Minister directed to collaborate with Pakistan Electric Fan Manufacturers Association for effective plan execution on urgent basis in this regard.

Meanwhile, in a meeting with NEPRA chairman, the Minister for Power advised to build capacity of NEPRA employees to handle affairs of disco’s privatization or Long term concessions, aimed to provide better service to the consumers.

Chairman NEPRA assured to provide maximum relief to the consumers pursuant to the directions of the government
