Minister of State for Housing & Works appreciates British company’s willingness to participate in Prime Minister’s low cost housing scheme

Islamabad, November 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Housing & Works Barrister Usman Ibrahim here Tuesday met with a delegation of UK construction company, Renoir Global.

The Minister appreciated Renoir’s willingness to participate in Prime Minister’s low cost housing scheme as it has been working in more than 150 countries. Renoir is ready to collaborate in constructing houses and infrastructure development of constructed units.

The Minister stated that this “mega project of constructing five hundred thousand houses in five years will evolve the economic circle for indigenous industry”.

Renoir is joining hands with Government of Pakistan to expedite this gigantic task to provide shelter to shelterless people with the possible minimum cost of ownership basis.

The Minister reiterated that present government is committed to provide ‘affordable living’ to the low income people and under Prime Minister’s direction the Ministry of Housing and Works is making all out efforts to translate this dream into a reality in the shortest possible time.

The meeting was attended by Omer Rasool, Joint Secretary, Director General, National Construction Limited (NCL), Director Ken Browne, Renoir Global, Umar Masood Faruki member Manifesto Committee (PML-N).
