Quetta: The Provincial Minister for Communications and Construction, Mir Saleem Ahmad Khosa, emphasized the urgent need to align the Department of Communication and Construction with modern standards. Speaking at a meeting attended by senior officials, including the Chief Engineer Roads of Kohata, Khuzdar, and Sibi, Khosa highlighted the necessity of adopting new and advanced technologies to enhance road maintenance efforts.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the minister noted that while existing machinery is being utilized, there is a pressing demand for state-of-the-art equipment to improve the province’s road infrastructure effectively. He advocated for strengthening the Road Maintenance Unit (RMU) to harness its capabilities fully, suggesting that optimal use of departmental assets could yield significant benefits.
Minister Khosa directed the provision of all necessary facilities to activate and mobilize the RMU, reiterating the importance of contributing to the province’s development and prosperity. By equipping the department with modern tools and technology, he argued, the people of Balochistan stand to gain from enhanced infrastructure and services.
