Jammu, June 09, 2023 (PPI-OT): The President of Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Vikar Rasool Wani, while expressing surprise over the tall claims being made from time to time with regard to development and empowerment of the Kashmiri people, said the reality is that the Narendra Modi-led BJP government has failed on every count. Vikar Rasool Wani, presiding over a party workers’ meeting at Banihal in Ramban, said the fact of the matter is that IIOJK has been pushed towards backwardness in every respect during the last nine years of misrule by the BJP-led Indian government.
He said unemployment has risen considerably and people are completely disconnected with the administration as no one is ready to listen to their grievances. The IIOJK chapter Congress chief maintained there is no accountability and transparency in the occupied territory’s administration and apparently people, in the absence of a popular government, are suffering as they have been left at the mercy of bureaucracy, who have miserably failed to address their grievances.
He demanded the holding of assembly elections followed by restoration of statehood to IIOJK, without any further loss of time, to address the people’s woes.
