Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Placed Under House Arrest Again in Srinagar

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the New Delhi-appointed administration has once again placed senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest in Srinagar, barring him from offering Friday prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid. Mirwaiz was also scheduled to address a religious event, Majlis-e-Rahmat-ul-lil-Alameen, at the grand mosque.

According to Radio Pakistan, curbs continued on the fourth day in the Doda district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir following the arrest of Member of Legislative Assembly Meraj Malik. The Bharatiya Janata Party regime has suspended Internet services and mobile connectivity in Bhalesa, Kahara, and Chilli Pingal areas.
