MNA Commends Court’s Decision in Rape Case

Islamabad: Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan, a Member of the National Assembly and Convenor of the Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights, has expressed approval of a decision made by Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh of the Lahore High Court. Justice Sheikh denied pre-arrest bail to a suspect in a rape case, a decision Dr. Khan described as significant in raising awareness about the seriousness of such crimes.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Dr. Khan emphasized that rape is a violation of individual sanctity and an attack on society’s moral fabric. She commended Justice Sheikh for recognizing this issue and noted that his decision reinforces the rule of law and highlights the importance of protecting vulnerable members of society.
