Standing Committee Sets Review for Hajj 2025 Service Agreement

Islamabad: The Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony convened to address issues related to the Hajj 2025 policy, appointing a sub-committee to review the Service Provider Agreement and resolve conflicts between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and stakeholders. The Committee, led by Malik Muhammad Aamir Dogar, emphasized the need for the Ministry to address stakeholder grievances while adhering to the cabinet-approved Hajj Policy 2025 and directives from Saudi Arabia.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of Malik Muhammad Aamir Dogar and included a comprehensive briefing on the Hajj Policy 2025 by the Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony. The Committee examined the roles of various stakeholders in the process and noted improvements in the draft Service Provider Agreement. A sub-committee was appointed to gather input from all parties involved and report back within five days. This sub-committee is led by Syed Imran Ahmed Shah and includes Members of the National Assembly Shagufta Jumani and Asiya Naz Tanoli.

The Committee also addressed concerns regarding the selection process for hiring Moavineen and Nazim for Hajj 2025 through National Testing Services. A call was made for the Ministry to provide effective training in Hajj regulations. The meeting was attended by several members of the National Assembly, representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and other stakeholders.
