Modi Government Seizes Kashmiri Property in IIOJK

Srinagar: Modi-led BJP government has seized another property belonging to a Kashmiri citizen in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police today confiscated one kanal of land and a two-story residential house owned by Mohammad Amin Malik in the Srigufwara area of Islamabad district. The seized property is estimated to be worth INR 20 million.

Since the abrogation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the Modi regime has intensified efforts to dispossess Kashmiris of their lands, homes, and other assets. The aim of this move is to deprive Kashmiris and allot confiscated properties to non-Kashmiri Hindus, with the goal of altering the region’s Muslim-majority demography.
