Modi’s spell broken; exit poll results predict Congress’s clear victory in Karnataka

New Delhi, May 10, 2023 (PPI-OT): In a major setback to the ruling Hindutva Bharatiya Janata Party in India, an exit poll results for Karnataka Assembly election predicts a clear majority for the Congress, with the grand old party expected to win 122 to 140 seats.

The exit poll results by The India Today states that the BJP may win on 62 to 80 seats, while JD(S) may clinch victory on 20 to 25 seats. Voting to the 224-member State Legislative Assembly was held on Wednesday. The counting of votes will take place on May 13.
