MoHR Hosts National Task Force to Evaluate Human Rights Progress

Islamabad: The Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR) convened the 7th National Task Force Meeting on the Action Plan for Human Rights. The gathering aimed to assess the progress on essential human rights initiatives with participation from federal and provincial representatives.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, the meeting focused on several key areas, including the strengthening of Treaty Implementation Cells and the reactivation of provincial task forces. Discussions also centered on advancing child marriage prohibition laws and the creation of District Human Rights Committees to enhance coordination and accountability.

Another significant aspect addressed during the meeting was the improvement of Pakistan’s Gender Parity ranking. Attendees discussed the implementation of annual provincial reports and the establishment of Gender Management Information Systems as measures to advance gender parity in the country.
