Moroccan Ambassador Meets Pakistan’s Prime Minister to Discuss Bilateral Ties

Islamabad: Ambassador Mohamed Karmoune of the Kingdom of Morocco met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House today. The meeting focused on strengthening the historic and cooperative ties between Pakistan and Morocco.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude towards King Muhammad VI and the Moroccan government for their support in the recent rescue operation involving stranded Pakistanis off the coast of Dakhla. He acknowledged the cooperation of local Moroccan authorities in the repatriation process of the survivors and the deceased.

During the discussions, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing trade and investment collaboration between the two nations. He highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations and goodwill shared by the peoples of Pakistan and Morocco and called for increased people-to-people interactions.

Ambassador Karmoune reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest. He assured Prime Minister Sharif of his dedication to exploring new opportunities for beneficial collaboration between the two countries.

Both sides are actively working to organize meetings of institutional consultative mechanisms, including Bilateral Political Consultations, at an early date.
