NA Speaker Lauds NAB’s Role in Purging Society of Corruption

Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has commended National Accountability Bureau’s role in purging society of corruption. He was addressing a ceremony in connection with the Anti-Corruption Day in Islamabad today. The Speaker said NAB was involved in political victimization during the tenure of the previous government. He appreciated the initiative taken by NAB to start accountability within its own department.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Speaker lauded the Punjab government for retrieving the confiscated land in the province and ensuring the recovery of funds from defaulting housing society owners in favor of the rightful plot owners. Ayaz Sadiq termed the recovery of forty million dollars by NAB from the looters as a significant step towards accountability and transparency.

Earlier, NAB organized a special walk in connection with Anti-Corruption Day, in which a large number of people from different backgrounds of society participated.
