Punjab to Spend Over Rs300bn on Development of 52 Cities: CM

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that over three hundred billion rupees will be allocated for the construction and repair of roads, parks, and the drainage and sewerage systems in fifty-two cities across the province as part of the Punjab Development Plan.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting of the Punjab Development Plan in Lahore, Chief Minister Nawaz emphasized the need to prioritize construction and repair efforts in the most deteriorated and dilapidated areas. This initiative aims to significantly improve infrastructure and living conditions in these cities.

Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure the completion of the drainage project before the onset of the monsoon season, highlighting the importance of efficient water management and flood prevention. The development plan is expected to bring significant improvements to the urban landscape of Punjab, enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
