Naseerabad Administration Announces Progress on Kachchi Canal Project, Plans for Agricultural Revolution

Naseerabad: A strategic meeting led by Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmad Khan Kakar discussed the next steps in the construction of the Kachchi Canal’s second phase and addressed other significant issues affecting the Naseerabad district. Key officials, including Engineer Zulfikar Ali and Assistant Commissioner Ali Shah Abbasi, along with other revenue staff, convened to outline the plan aimed at correcting previous survey errors and ensuring fair compensation for landowners impacted by the project.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Kakar emphasized the urgency of rectifying the 2008 survey inaccuracies and stated that the government’s compensation rules will be strictly followed to compensate affected landowners at official rates. Plans are set to initiate work across all sections spanning 33 km within the district. The administration has already completed one kilometer of the canal and is now focusing on accelerating the development of the next phase.

The expansion of the Kachchi Canal is expected to usher in an agricultural revolution in the district by enhancing the water supply to farms, which is crucial for the region’s agricultural sustainability. The local government remains committed to supporting the project through every necessary measure to ensure its swift and successful execution.
