National Assembly of Pakistan Reschedules Friday Session to Evening

Islamabad: In an unusual move, the National Assembly of Pakistan has rescheduled its upcoming session on Friday, October 18, 2024, to 6:00 p.m. from the originally planned 11:00 a.m. start. This change marks a significant adjustment in the assembly’s typical schedule.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the decision was made by the Honourable Speaker under the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-rule (2) of rule 49 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007. The adjustment was communicated to all members of the National Assembly as well as other key government officials and departments through a circular issued by the National Assembly Secretariat. This alteration in scheduling is intended to accommodate unspecified matters that necessitated a later meeting time. The Secretariat has also requested widespread dissemination of this change through various media to ensure all concerned parties are adequately informed.
