National Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker Congratulate Newly Elected Chairman: Ch. Abdul Ghafoor: Elected Chairman Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges

Islamabad: Ch. Abdul Ghafoor, MNA has been unanimously elected as Chairman, Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges in the Committee’s meeting held at Parliament House, today.

Mr. Nadeem Afzal Gondal proposed the name of Ch. Abdul Ghafoor as a Chairman of the Committee while all other members seconded his name. Additional Secretary, Mr. Moosa Raza Effendi conducted the election of the Chairman.

Ch. Abdul Ghafoor thanked the members of the committee for reposing confidence and trust in him by electing the Chairman Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges. He assured the members that he will come up to their expectation and make the Committee purposeful.

Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Speaker and Faisal Karim Kundi, Deputy Speaker have congratulated Ch. Abdul Ghafoor on his election as Chairman. The Speaker and Deputy Speaker in their felicitation message to newly elected Chairman said that his election was the reflection of trust of the members of committee reposed in him and assured National Assembly Secretariat’s full cooperation for smooth functioning of the committee.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nadeem Afzal Gondal, Mr. Ghulam Ali Nizamani, Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur, Mr. Sajjad-ul-Hassan, Mr. Mehmood Hayat Khan Tochi Khan, Mr. S. A. Iqbal Quadri and Mr. Shakeel Awan.
