NDMA Issues Warning of Urban Flooding in Islamabad, Murree & Surrounding Areas

Islamabad: National Disaster Management Authority has issued a warning of urban flooding in Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and surrounding areas in the next two to six hours.

According to Radio Pakistan, landslides are possible in mountainous areas and thunderstorms may cause damage to fragile infrastructure and power outages. The NDMA has advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel during rain, stay away from trees and weak structures, and follow the instructions of local authorities.
