Nestlé Pakistan Extends PKR 5 Million to Pakistan Red Crescent Society for Social Welfare and Relief Work

Lahore, In a significant move to bolster social welfare and relief efforts, Nestlé Pakistan has made a corporate contribution of PKR 5 million to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). This contribution is aligned with Nestlé's philosophy of Creating Shared Value (CSV), emphasizing its commitment to social responsibility and community support.

According to Nestle Pakistan Limited, Jason Avanceña, CEO of Nestlé Pakistan, expressed the company's long-standing collaboration with PRCS. This partnership has encompassed various initiatives, including blood donation camps and joint efforts during the COVID-19 response. Avanceña highlighted the corporate contribution as a reflection of Nestlé's dedication to supporting PRCS's noble cause. He emphasized Nestlé Pakistan's belief in CSV and its role as a 'force for good' in the community.

Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari, Chairman of PRCS, expressed gratitude towards Nestlé Pakistan for their generous donation. He noted that this contribution would significantly aid PRCS's mission to alleviate the suffering of disaster-affected individuals. Laghari appreciated Nestlé Pakistan's commitment to creating shared value and their efforts to positively impact vulnerable societies.

Nestlé Pakistan's voluntary program 'Nestlé Cares' allows employees to engage in assisting underprivileged communities through various initiatives. The company has been proactive in providing humanitarian assistance and engaging in sustainability, community development, and social welfare initiatives. Nestlé Pakistan's efforts include providing clean and safe drinking water to approximately 72,000 people through seven water filtration facilities near its manufacturing sites. In addition, through its global nutritional awareness initiative, Nestlé For Healthier Kids (N4HK), the company reached 360,000 students and 2200 teachers last year, promoting healthy nutrition, hydration, hygiene, and an active lifestyle.

Nestlé, headquartered in Switzerland, has maintained a strong presence in Pakistan for over 35 years, proudly producing local products for its Pakistani consumers.
