New Chairman Founder Group assures resolution of business community problems

Islamabad, February 07, 2014 (PPI-OT): New Chairman of the Founder Group of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Mr. Abdul Rauf on Friday said that business community has been playing a very positive role in the national development therefore they deserve attention of the authorities.

Speaking to the business community after becoming Chairman of the Founder Group, he said that he will employ best of his abilities to get issues of the business community resolved so that they can work with peace of mind.

Abdul Rauf, who has also served as president ICCI, said that many issues of the businessmen related to the district administration, CDA, FBR, police and other departments remained unresolved which must be a matter of concern for quarters concerned.

Speaking at the occasion, Shaban Khalid, President of the ICCI said that we are not only trying to resolve issues of the business community, settle disputes but also acting as a bridge between the private sector and the government.

We have developed linkages with representatives of different markets to for exploiting their potential and remediation of their grievances. He hoped that ICCI will play more effective role under the guidance of new Chairman Founder Group.

Munawar Mughal, Vice President, FPCCI hoped that Mr. Rauf will employ all his energies to further strengthen the ICCI and lend support to the business community.

Law and order and energy problem has become a great hindrance in development which must be resolved as businessmen are ready to cooperate with the government, he added.

Untiring efforts would be made to resolve issues residential facilities for small traders and promulgation of a balanced rent control act in Islamabad, said Mughal.

The outgoing Chairman Founder Group Tariq Sadiq highlighted the achievements of the Group and while hoping that that the new Chairman will use the opportunity to serve the business community. Large number of traders and industrialists attended the ceremony.
