New Delhi pushing youth towards militancy: JKSM

Srinagar, June 14, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt has said that New Delhi and its authorities in the territory pushing youth towards militancy for achieving their birth right by placing restrictions on peaceful political movement.

Zafar Akbar Butt while addressing huge gathering at Half Shermal in Shopian, has appealed to the world community to take notice of the military might polices and massive rights abuses in Kashmir under draconian laws adding that the continued suppression and curbing of voice of Kashmiri people is denial of justice and basic democratic right.

He said that the massacre of Gawkadal, Hawal, Zkoora in Srinagar, Sopore, Kupwara, Handwara, Bijbehara, disgracing women and custodial disappearances are now unacceptable. The last 24 years of atrocities and killings has exposed Indian authorities in the region and worldwide.

He said that GOI and anti-Kashmir people in India should end the rigidity and work on demilitarization from Kashmir, repeal black laws and create conducive atmosphere for the resolution of Kashmir through tripartite talks and UN resolutions. He said permanent peace in the region is impossible without its amicable settlement.

Zafar Akbar Butt also paid glowing tributes to the martyrs including Ashiq Hussain Lone, Sajjad Mir, Ashraf Akbar, Altaf Baba, Eng.Saifullah, M Abbas Nengro, Mufti Hilal and Sheikh Shabir of Palhallan.
