New Structure to Boost Pakistan’s Defence Capabilities

Narowal: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal stated that the 27th Constitutional Amendment has reinforced both democracy and the judicial system in Pakistan. Speaking to the media in Narowal, he emphasized that the Charter of Democracy is being implemented in its true essence.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that the establishment of a Constitutional Court was a commitment made under the Charter of Democracy, signed by two major political parties, which has now curtailed judicial activism. He noted that this development allows the Supreme Court to concentrate on its primary responsibilities.

Furthermore, Ahsan Iqbal mentioned that the creation of a Joint Command in the defence forces aligns with modern requirements. He asserted that the new defence structure will strengthen Pakistan’s defence capabilities, and he dismissed criticism from certain quarters as politically driven.
