NIA again summons Mirwaiz, Gilani’s son to Delhi

Srinagar, March 17, 2019 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Naseem Gilani, son of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, received fresh summons from the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) asking them to appear before its New Delhi headquarters for questioning in a fake funding case.

This is the second time in about one week that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Naseem Gilani have been summoned by the NIA to New Delhi. The summonses were served to Mirwaiz and Naseem though Srinagar district police. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been asked to appear before the NIA in New Delhi on March 18 and Naseem Gilani on March 19.

Mirwaiz has been summoned for questioning in any case for the first time, while Naseem Gilani has been questioned thrice by the NIA. Naseem has also been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate to its New Delhi headquarters on March 22.
