New Delhi, July 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a 19-year-old Muslim student in the Indian state of Jharkhand. The NIA sleuths arrested Faizan Ansari, a student of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Uttar Pradesh, from his home in Lohardaga town of Jharkhand.
The agency seized his documents, mobile and electronic devices during the searches at his permanent residence in Lohardaga (Jharkhand) and rented room in Aligarh University. The NIA accused him of having links with the Islamic State (IS) to justify his illegal detention.
