Objection raised over use of JKPM by Shah Faesal in IOK

Jammu, March 17, 2019 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has strongly objected to the launching of a new political outfit under the identical name and style by the former bureaucrat Shah Faesal and urged him to make a modification in the name of his newly launched party.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader and the JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem in a statement in Jammu said that a political outfit under the name and style of “Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement” (JKPM) has been functioning for the past 19 years in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the party was launched on April 4, 2000 at Press Club, Jammu.

The JKPM Chairman, taking exception to the party name being used by Shah Faesal urged him to make a necessary modification in the name of his newly launched political party to avoid unnecessary confusion. He said this is against the basic ethics for a man like Shah Faesal to commit a sort of plagiarism, who has always been talking about moral high grounds in the public life.
