OGRA Announces Decrease in LPG Cylinder Prices by Rs47.43

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in the price of an 11.8 kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder by 47.43 rupees, effective immediately. This adjustment marks a decrease in energy costs for consumers beginning in January 2025.

According to Radio Pakistan, OGRA spokesperson Imran Ghaznavi stated that the new price for a domestic LPG cylinder will be 2,953.36 rupees. This is a reduction from the previous price of 3,000.79 rupees set in December 2024. The price cut represents a 1.58% decrease month-over-month.

The decision to lower LPG prices is expected to provide some relief to households relying on this energy source for cooking and heating, as energy prices have been a concern for many consumers. The adjustment reflects OGRA’s ongoing efforts to regulate and stabilize fuel prices in response to market dynamics.
