Parliamentary Secretary Praises IPO Pakistan’s Contribution to Economic Development

ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for Commerce Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti visited the headquarters of the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan, where he commended the organization’s critical role in fostering economic growth through the protection and promotion of intellectual property rights.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Bhatti was warmly received by Chairperson Farukh Amil, Director General Shazia Adnan, and other IPO officers during his visit. The organization’s leadership briefed Dr. Bhatti on their efforts to promote intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and geographical indications, which are instrumental in encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan.

Dr. Bhatti expressed his appreciation for the organization’s performance, acknowledging the significance of its work in facilitating a conducive environment for economic development. He recognized the IPO’s pivotal role in supporting the country’s innovation landscape and its impact on Pakistan’s broader economic growth and development objectives.
