Omar Abdullah Criticizes Modi’s Emphasis on Dynastic Politics in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah has criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for focusing on dynastic politics in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), highlighting a lack of significant achievements in the region over the past five years.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Omar Abdullah was responding to comments made by the Indian Prime Minister during a recent speech in Srinagar, where Modi targeted “the three families”—the Abdullahs, Muftis, and Gandhis—ignoring broader local issues in Jammu and Kashmir.

Omar Abdullah pointed to the increased violence and dissatisfaction among the residents of IIOJK, claiming the last five years have seen escalating attacks and growing unrest. He called on the Indian government to address the real challenges facing the people, rather than focusing on political feuds.
