On directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab Yadgar-e-Shauhda to be constructed in Faisalabad

Lahore, March 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In the light of the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Khan Baig, to recognize the sacrifices of Police Martyrs by the citizens, a Yadgar-e-Shauhda will be constructed near Chinab Club, Faisalabad.

According to CPO Faisalabad, Dr. Haider Ashraf, the sight for the purpose with the collaboration of district government has been finalized. The design of “Yadgar” has been prepared by a local Architect. The other salient feature of “Yadgar” includes construction of monument with wreath laying space, Public Park and Parade Area. The said project will be completed by 23rd March, 2014.

The “Yadgar” will enable the police to propagate their sacrifices and would also be helpful to bridge the gap between the public and police department. Moreover, to improve the soft image of police and provide access to the public, Faisalabad Police has also signed an MOU with local radio stations i.e. FM-94 and FM-93 (Radio Pakistan).

Under this MOU these stations starts airing special programs comprising of interviews of Shaheed’s families, success stories, direct public calls, public feedback and public education relating to traffic and other police matters during 5:00 to 06:00 p.m. on daily basis.
