One more innocent killing shocks JKDFP

Srinagar, July 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the killing of yet another unarmed and innocent youth by Indian forces at Trehgam in Kupwara district has shocked the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP). A JKDFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the party has termed the situation, arisen out of the unabated killings as alarming. Expressing solidarity and sympathy with the parents of Khalid Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Ghafar Malik of Trehgam, he said only parents of the slain know the pain of the deaths taking place in nook and corner of the disputed region as they are the prime victims of the ongoing bloodshed.

The spokesman said that the Indian forces resort to firing on smaller issues resulting in the carnage and it has very badly affected the very nature of the people living in the disputed territory. A huge population is undergoing psychological trauma and if the situation remains the same the result will be more dangerous, he deplored.

He said that Kashmiri people have to bury their youngsters almost on daily basis and the situation is disturbing. He stressed upon human rights oraganisations and justice-loving people across the globe to come to the rescue of Kashmiri people who are being massacred only because they demand for their political rights.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akber Butt in a statement in Srinagar condemned the killing of youth Khalid Gaffar Mlik and expressed solidarity with the victim family. A delegation comprised Nasir Mushtaq, Irshad Ahmed and M Sarwar attended his funerals and paid tributes to him. He also condemned the use of brute force at Soura while setting fire on fruit venders and damaging their earning infrastructure.
