Islamabad: On the instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, an operation has been launched against encroachments and illegal constructions in Saidpur Model Village. Two hundred illegal constructions have so far been demolished, and one hundred and ninety-one kanals of land belonging to the National Park have been reclaimed from illegal occupants.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister visited Saidpur Model Village to review the operation against illegal constructions. He inspected the progress on upgradation and beautification work in the village. The Minister directed that action against encroachments and illegal constructions around Saidpur Village should continue without discrimination.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that vacated buildings will be auctioned transparently. He appreciated the performance of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in the operation against illegal constructions. The elimination of all kinds of illegal constructions in the area is a top priority.
The Interior Minister also announced plans to bring renowned restaurants from Karachi and Lahore to Saidpur Village. He emphasized that the revival of Saidpur Village will enhance the beauty of Islamabad and provide the people with a new recreational spot. All resources will be utilized to turn Saidpur Village into a world-class recreational center.
