Over 4,800 Couples Wed in Punjab Under ‘Dhee Rani Programme’

Lahore: In Punjab, under the ‘Dhee Rani Programme’, marriage ceremonies for over four thousand and eight hundred underprivileged couples have been completed in the province.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Programme’s Focal Person and Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal, Sohail Shaukat Butt, stated that the initiative has been implemented in three successful phases. The ‘Dhee Rani Programme’ has garnered significant public appreciation, particularly in South Punjab.

Sohail Shaukat Butt highlighted that, under the direct supervision of the Punjab government, each deserving couple received a complete wedding package. This package included a gift card worth 200,000 rupees, bridal attire, and full ceremony arrangements, ensuring that the couples could celebrate their unions without financial burdens.
