Owaisi Criticizes Modi Government for Religious Policy Inconsistencies.

Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi has criticized inconsistent religious policies under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.

According to Kashmir Media Service, referring to recent remarks by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman B R Naidu, who declared that all employees at the Tirumala temple should be Hindu, Owaisi pointed out a contradiction with New Delhi’s push to mandate non-Muslim inclusion in Waqf Boards.

Owaisi took to social media, stating, “TTD’s chairman says only Hindus should work in Tirumala. But Modi govt insists on non-Muslims in Waqf Boards. Most Hindu Endowment laws require Hindu members only. What’s good for the goose should be good for the gander, no?”

Naidu’s policy, announced on October 31, includes plans to discuss reassignment options for non-Hindu staff with the Andhra Pradesh government, possibly through transfers or Voluntary Retirement Schemes.
