Pak-Afghan Border Jirga Focuses on Cooperation at Kharlachi Border Terminal

Kharlachi: A Pak-Afghan border Jirga was convened at the Kharlachi Border Terminal in Kurram, facilitated by the Pakistan Army. Tribal leaders and traders from Pakistan and Afghanistan gathered to discuss mutual interests and enhance cross-border relations.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Afghan delegation also toured the Pak-Afghan Bhai Chara Hospital, situated at the Kharlachi Border Terminal, and expressed their satisfaction with the medical services available. The Jirga underscored the importance of fostering goodwill and practical cooperation between the neighboring countries.

During the meeting, Pakistan reaffirmed its dedication to democratic principles and the rule of law. A suggestion was also put forth to create employment opportunities for the local communities. Both parties reached a consensus on maintaining collaboration in trade, health, and infrastructure sectors.

The attendees highlighted the significance of organizing such meetings on a regular basis to strengthen bilateral ties and ensure continuous dialogue.
