Khyber pakhtunkhwa: In a significant development, the Pakistan Army’s Engineer Corps has successfully reopened a crucial road in Shangla that was previously closed due to a landslide. The reopening of this road marks a major step towards restoring connectivity in the region, which had been severely disrupted.

According to Radio Pakistan, Army engineers have been deployed with heavy equipment in Alpuri to ensure the smooth clearance and restoration of the road. Efforts are also underway to clear the Aloch-Chakesar road, which remains blocked at several critical points.

In the neighboring region of Buner, the Army engineers are actively engaged in road clearance and recovery operations in areas such as Bishnoi, Gokand, and Pir Baba. These operations are being conducted in close collaboration with the local administration to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Operations are being closely monitored from the Relief and Rescue Operations Headquarters in Daggar to ensure that relief activities are carried out smoothly. The army has committed to continuing these efforts until connectivity and normalcy are fully restored in the affected areas.
