Pakistan and Azerbaijan Sign $2 Billion Investment Agreement

Khankendi: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed an investment agreement worth two billion dollars focused on various sectors of Pakistan’s economy. The agreement was formalized by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Azerbaijan’s Minister for Economy Mikayil Jabbarov following a bilateral meeting between Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Radio Pakistan, the signing ceremony was witnessed by both the Azeri President and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The final and detailed version of the agreement is expected to be signed during President Aliyev’s forthcoming visit to Pakistan.

The investment agreement is anticipated to elevate the trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan to a historic level. It is also expected to serve as a catalyst for the enhancement of their bilateral relations and the strengthening of their trade partnership.
