Pakistan and Azerbaijan Strengthen Ties Through Bilateral Talks

Islamabad: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have successfully concluded the fourth round of Bilateral Political Consultations, focusing on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.

According to a statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions, held in Islamabad, were led by Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Elnur Mammadov. The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including political and inter-parliamentary relations as well as economic, energy, trade, and investment cooperation. The talks also addressed educational, cultural, information technology, and tourism exchanges.

The two sides conducted a thorough review of their bilateral relations and discussed important regional and global developments, such as the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the Middle East. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the progress of their relationship and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining momentum and collaborating on mutual interests, including in multilateral forums.

The next round of consultations is scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan at a time yet to be decided by both countries.
