Pakistan and Bangladesh Commit to Enhanced Cooperation on Various Fronts

New York: Pakistan and Bangladesh have pledged to enhance cooperation across multiple levels including bilateral, regional, and multilateral stages, aiming to boost progress and development for their populations. This commitment was solidified during a meeting between Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Professor Muhammad Yunus, held on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions between Prime Minister Sharif and Professor Yunus were fruitful, focusing on strengthening the existing strong fraternal bonds between the two nations that are rooted in shared faith, history, and culture. Both leaders expressed a keen interest in further deepening these ties through various means.

Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the importance of engaging in collaborative efforts to fortify bilateral relations. Additionally, Prime Minister Sharif extended an invitation to Professor Yunus to visit Pakistan officially at his convenience, highlighting the significance of continuous regional cooperation and dialogue. This invitation underscores Pakistan’s commitment to building strong regional alliances and working collaboratively on issues of mutual interest.
