Pakistan and Bangladesh Strengthen Defense Cooperation

Dhaka: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, currently on an official visit to Bangladesh, held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General Waker-Uz-Zaman.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, both leaders acknowledged the positive development in defense cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh. They agreed on the importance of maintaining regular exchange visits at various levels of military leadership to further enhance their collaborative efforts.

The discussions highlighted the evolving global and regional security environment, with both sides emphasizing the need to reinforce bilateral cooperation between their respective armed forces. Key areas of focus included training, joint exercises, and sharing experiences in counter-terrorism efforts.

Both parties also addressed the challenges posed by disinformation efforts across multiple platforms, identifying them as a shared concern. They emphasized the necessity of enhancing cooperation and joint initiatives to effectively counter these threats.
