Pakistan and Belgium Collaborate to Combat Migrant Smuggling

Brussels: Pakistan and Belgium have reached an agreement to enhance bilateral cooperation aimed at controlling the smuggling of migrants. This understanding was achieved during a meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi, and his Belgian counterpart, Bernard Quintin.

According to Radio Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the necessity for a unified strategy and coordinated actions on a global scale to curb illegal immigration. He highlighted the stringent and effective measures Pakistan has implemented to prevent such activities.

The Belgian Interior Minister, Bernard Quintin, praised Pakistan’s efforts in countering terrorism and illegal immigration, noting that Pakistan has set a commendable example for both the region and the international community.

In addition to discussing the migrant smuggling issue, both officials deliberated on enhancing cooperation in areas such as counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, and joint training initiatives for paramilitary forces.
