Pakistan Calls for Immediate Ceasefire in DR Congo

Pakistan: Pakistan has called for an immediate ceasefire in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to Radio Pakistan, speaking during the UN Security Council meeting, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, acknowledged the complexity of the DRC’s situation. He paid tribute to the UN peacekeepers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and affirmed that their services embody the highest ideals of the UN. Ahmad also demanded that the perpetrators of these egregious attacks should be brought to justice.
