Pakistan and China Enhance Intelligence Sharing in New Security Pact

Beijing: Pakistan and China have agreed to enhance their intelligence-sharing mechanisms, marking a significant step in the deepening of bilateral security cooperation between the two nations.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreement was reached during a recent meeting in Beijing between Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, and his Chinese counterpart, Qi Yanjun. The two officials discussed various measures to bolster collaboration between the Beijing Police and Islamabad Police.

In addition to intelligence sharing, Minister Naqvi announced that Pakistan plans to procure modern technology and equipment for its police forces from China. This move is aimed at strengthening the operational capabilities of Pakistani law enforcement agencies.

The meeting also covered discussions on enhancing cooperation to secure the shared border between Pakistan and China. This aspect of the talks underscores the strategic importance both countries place on maintaining stability and security in the region.
