Prime Minister Pledges Continued Support for Kashmir Self-Determination

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to backing the Kashmiri people’s quest for self-determination, aligning with United Nations Security Council resolutions, in a meeting with All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains central to Pakistan’s foreign policy. He called upon the international community to address India’s actions and human rights concerns in the region.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the sacrifices of Kashmiris advocating for their rights, assuring that their efforts would not be in vain. He directed Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam to devise a plan to tackle the issues faced by refugees in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC leaders expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s unwavering support and lauded the Prime Minister for raising the Kashmir issue at the United Nations.
